Physiotherapy is a healthcare profession focused on assessing, diagnosing and treating pain, injury and movement disorders. It aims to restore function, reduce pain and improve quality of life through hands-on treatment, exercise prescription and education.
No. While hands-on techniques may form part of your treatment, physiotherapy is a clinical service that includes detailed assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation exercises and long-term management strategies, not just soft tissue work.
Physiotherapy can help with a wide range of conditions, including sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, back and neck pain, joint injuries, neurological conditions, chronic pain, and movement-related issues affecting daily life or performance.
Treatment typically includes a thorough assessment, hands-on manual therapy, electrotherapy modalities where appropriate, tailored exercise programmes, movement re-education and advice to support recovery and prevent recurrence.
Physiotherapy is evidence-based and highly effective for many musculoskeletal, neurological and pain-related conditions. Outcomes depend on the condition, individual goals and engagement with the treatment plan.
Yes. We offer physiotherapy during pregnancy and have a dedicated pelvic health specialist experienced in treating pregnancy-related and postnatal conditions.
NWL Physiotherapy offers highly experienced clinicians, many with over 20 years of clinical practice. We have a strong neurological physiotherapy team, which is uncommon in private practice, as well as clinicians with diverse backgrounds including Biokinetics training from South Africa and a Doctorate-level specialist in pain science. This allows us to deliver comprehensive, individualised and specialist care.
Fees vary depending on the type of appointment and the specialist you see. For accurate pricing, please contact reception or view availability and fees directly via our online booking system on the Jane App.
