Hubert graduated as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands in 1988 and has worked in the UK since 1990, both privately and in the NHS.
Hubert's clinical work starts with a thorough assessment to find out what will work for the individual person. He looks at every patient holistically and treats his patients accordingly.
He uses techniques based on modern pain science as well as manual therapy, exercise prescription and mindfulness. Hubert is also a qualified acupuncturist.
He lectures at the University of Hertfordshire where he leads MSc modules in pain, psychological approaches for pain management and research methods. He has published two textbooks and a number of book chapters about pain.
Hubert enjoys daily Chinese exercise and working on soundscapes. He lives in London with his wife and two cats.
